Port Hedland Speedway located 1600kms North of Perth in Western Australia will have its biggest race meeting of the 2020 season this Friday & Saturday Night.

After a delayed start to their season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Port Hedland Speedway club held its first race meeting for 2020 back on Saturday 1st August.

Club Secretary Rachael Francis is pleased that the two night show will go ahead this weekend, “We have our Pippingarra Legends Memorial this Friday & Saturday Night which honours some of our past champion drivers and club members”.

Visiting drivers from as far away as Esperance, Collie, Broome, Derby, Newman and Karratha are set to descend on the 600 metre Port Hedland Speedway.

Francis said the club would like to thank Jamie Landrigan and the team from TLC Contracting for preparing the racing surface with also Tempo’s Heavy Diesel and Swan Towing providing some great assistance.

Jack McAuley should start favourite in the SSA Production Sedans after a strong win in the Ash Page Memorial last weekend in Newman.
