The Speedway Sedans Australia, National Junior Sedan Title will be held at the 7mate Northline Speedway, next Friday and Saturday night, and will feature one of the youngest drivers in the field, eleven year old Kurtis Peall, from Bundaberg, Queensland.
Peall, like many others will be competing in his first National Title, and is very much looking forward to the event.
I am looking forward to competing with all the good drivers in one place, the experience, having my family there watching, said Peall.
Peall has had a busy season which he puts in two caterogies, the good stuff and the bad stuff.
The good stuff: I finished second in the Silver Crown to Ardie Jonic, third in the SSA Speedweek, I am the current lap record holder at Maryborough Speedway.
The bad stuff: Some mechanical issues which are now resolved, I had a big crash at the Queensland Title in Rockhampton in March this year.
Driving a Diahatsu Charade, Peall believes fellow Queenslander, Ardie Jonic is the driver to beat.
Peall loves competing and being competitive, getting in and driving, and of course going fast.
With still many years left in the Junior category, Peall has his sights set on more Titles. I would like to compete at more National Titles and grow as a driver, he said.
I would like to thank my Dad and Pop for their many hours on the race car, Peall concluded.
