Nate Garwood has become just the second driver in the seventeen year history of the SSA Junior Sedan Tasmanian State Title to successfully defend the title by taking victory last night at the Gulf Western & Independent Oils Raceway in Latrobe.
Garwood took the lead on lap fourteen from fellow Mitsubishi Mirage driver Jack Pearce who qualified on the front row with Emilie Williams for the twenty five lap main event.For much of the race Sharni Farrell would be in third place before retiring from the event aboard her Mitsubish Lancer.
Nate Garwood would join Shaun Dobson and Queenslander Ardie Jonic as a two time Tasmanian Champion crossing the line 1.810 seconds clear of Pearce with Emilie Williams officially third.
