Official Release by Broth Enterprises.
For the fourth constitutive year, the Odh Mechanical North/South Shootout returns to the Speedway Sedan calendar in the west and starts off this weekend at the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway with the Street Stock Coal Miner 52.
With stops this season at Moora, Carnarvon and Karratha, it might not have the same style ‘Month of Madness’ format from the first two years, but this season will again bring together two fantastic events from the South of the State and two from the North to make up this season’s Shootout.
The North/South’s Shootout concept will continue, with every driver who contests in all four rounds taking an even spread of the Series Prize Money Payout, while each round will have its allotted funding by the Clubs.
The Coal Miner again will continue its tradition of adding a lap to the Finale in an event that was created by local drivers and team members that is both unique but still have that excitement that Street Stocks bring.
A field of 22 drivers are set to head to Collie this Saturday Night for the 52-lap main event. It may not be the biggest field of drivers to be in attendance for a Broth Enterprise event, but as always, the quality of drivers will head to Coal Town is defiantly there.
Cars from every point of the state will head to Collie including Craig Clayton, Donny Davis and Daniel Flavel from Newman while Jamie Goodwin heads north from Esperance to be in attendance.
Speaking of local drivers, they will come in strong yet again with some good form as Ethan Genev who comes off a series victory in the South West Sedan Championship and Damon Thomson who finished second in the recent Street Stock Feature would look to keep the Coal Miner trophy in its home club.
Coming off National Title runs as well, Lenny Bates, Peter Dowie and Daniel Ameduri will look to finish off their big month of racing with a victory.
Action is set to get underway at 6pm with Junior Sedans and Production Sedans also on the program.
