Leigh Williams has taken out an impressive victory in Round Seven of the McCosker Super Sedan Series at Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kingaroy Speedway.
Having started from fifth on the grid Williams was quickly into contention for the lead, battling with pole sitter Trent Wilson, and youngster Hayden Brims.
In what was a great three car battle Williams took the lead from Wilson on lap six, but the battle raged on for a number of laps.
Wilson was battling a slow leak in his right front tyre and began to lose ground to Williams and Brims.
Brims briefly took the lead on lap twenty one, but Williams fought back into turn one to regain the lead.
Brims had a heap of momentum heading into turn three and unfortunately made contact with the rear of Williams car sending him spinning to the infield.
Brims was adjudged as the cause of the stoppage and was sent to the rear of the field for the restart. Zac Pascoe had made steady progress after starting from tenth.
Pascoe restarted fourth and immediately jumped to second and began to pressure Williams for the lead.
Williams thwarted all challenges and went on to record an impressive win by almost two seconds.
Pascoe was comfortably home in second ahead of Mitchell Gee in third.
