Drivers from four states will contest the 2021/2022 SSA Super Sedan Tasmanian State Title this Friday and Saturday night at the Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway.
A stout field of twenty seven drivers will take part in two heats each on Friday night, before the top twenty qualifiers vie for supremacy in a twenty lap preliminary A Main. On Saturday there will be another round of heats before the forty lap main event.
Queensland Champion Matty Pascoe will be looking to win his first Tasmanian Title in the Colin Kaine owned Sweet Chassis powered by a 525 Crate Motor. Matty’s sons Zac and Brad Pascoe are making their first venture to Tasmania and will be hoping to upstage their father.
Fellow Queenslanders Matt Williams and Steve Jordan have both tasted feature success so far this season and will be looking to become Tasmanian Champion for the first time.
Current Tasmanian Champion Callum Harper has won twice so far this season, and will be looking to add his sixth Tasmanian title to his already blossoming resume. Former Tasmanian Champion Steve Latham won last time out at Carrick, and will be hoping to continue his strong form so far this season.
The field also includes another three former Tasmanian Champions in David Nichols, Adam Beechey and Victoria’s Mick Nicola Snr all of whom will be in contention for another Tasmanian Title.
Racing kicks off at 6pm on Friday, and 5pm on Saturday.
