The Ford Escort from the Gympie Saloon Car Club of Justin Weir has negotiated the forty laps of the Roma Speedway to claim a third career victory in the Queensland State Title for SSA National 4’s.
Justin’s brother Tim Weir appeared certain to wrestle back the Q1 plate leading the first twenty nine laps of the main event aboard his Ford Sierra before a broken axle sent him to the infield.
Former Queensland Champion Rodney Midolo in Sunshine Coast registered and the Honda CRX of Brayden Mooney rounded out the podium.
The Weir racing team now have won seven of the ten Queensland State Titles to have ever been held for SSA National 4’s.
