The off season is finally over, and Super Sedans WA returns this weekend with the opening round of the Marri Park Tavern and Golf Course WA Super Sedan Series at the Tyrepower Manjimup Speedway .
A classy nine car field will do battle with bragging rights on the line in the opening round of the season.
After a dominant 2022/23 season, Western Australian Champion Dustin Higgs returns after amassing an incredible nine feature race wins last season.
Higgs will be looking to get his season off to a strong start as he builds towards the National Title next March at Albany, as well as his defence at the WA Title at Mount Barker.
Higgs will be joined by his father Dusty Higgs who was victorious in SSWA’s appearance at Manjimup last season.
Dusty will be hoping to build on his three feature wins from last season with another strong performance at Manjimup on Saturday night.
Kemble Aylett, Kyle Larson, Ryan Huxtable, and Steve Larson all showed good speed at different times throughout last season, and will be hoping to kick their 2023/24 season off with a podium finish at Manjimup.
Lukas Lampert had a great rookie season, and will be hoping to get his second season in the class off to a strong start.
Glynn McBeath and Luke Matlejan will make their Super Sedan debuts on Saturday at Manjimup.
McBeath joins the class after a number of years swinging the spanners, and Matlejan joins the division after a couple of seasons in the Super Six division.
Racing will kick off at 5pm with drivers tackling three heat races to set the field for the feature race.
