The 2019/2020 Civil Hirings WA Modified Sedan Series gets underway this Saturday night, with Round 1 of the series heading to the Geraldton City Speedway in WAs Midwest. The event, which is proudly sponsored by Blackman Fabrication is the beginning of a big season for Modified Sedan racing in Western Australia, with seven rounds in this years Civil Hirings WA Modified Sedan Series.
Headlining the nomination list for the first round of the series, is Broome based driver Jeff Steele. Steele is the current WA Modified Sedan State Champion and will no doubt be one of the favourites coming into this weekends event.
WA Modified Sedan Series regulars Branden Fraser, Adam Houston and Allan Mortimer will yet again face the green flag as they embark on another huge season of Modified Sedan racing in 2019/2020. Mortimer finished on the podium at the Geraldton round of the series last season and will look to replicate this come Saturday evening.
WA Modified Drivers Association (WAMDA) President, Rick Musarra will also return to the tight confines of Geraldton City Speedway, but will have the challenge of regular Production Sedan drivers Josh Fraser, Jayke Malcolm and home town hero Ashley Baker, who will make his debut in the Modified Sedan ranks, a division that his father Richard is no stranger too.
Also making his WA Modified Sedan Series debut this weekend is Luke Fraser. Fraser is no stranger to the division having watched his father Peter race for many years, as well as brother Branden. Luke, a former Junior Sedan and Street Stock driver is looking forward to the challenge that will come in the Modified Sedan ranks.
With one third of the drivers coming from the Fraser family, there is no doubt they will figure prominently, but just who will come out on top? Be at Geraldton City Speedway this weekend to find out, as the 2019/2020 Civil Hirings WA Modified Sedan Series gets underway with three heats, plus the all important Southern Stump and Mulching Services Top 6 Shootout before the twenty lap, deciding final.
This weekend would not be possible without the valued support of our series sponsor, Civil Hirings who are Perths construction industrys leading earthmoving plant hire and operation company, providing personalised service for all your civil needs.
