The 2019/2020 Civil Hirings WA Modified Sedan Series fires back into action this Saturday night, when Round 2 of the series heads to Watsons Express Kalgoorlie International Speedway.
The event which is proudly sponsored by Cranecorp Australia, has attracted a healthy field of thirteen Modified Sedans, as drivers look to gain valuable season points, as well as track time ahead of the 2019/2020 WA Modified Sedan Title, which will be held at the same venue in early February.
No doubt headlining this weekends field, is the winner of Round 1 of the Civil Hirings WA Modified Sedan Series, Luke Fraser, who also took out a win at Moora Speedway in early November. Fraser will again battle it out with brother Branden, who will no doubt want to topple his brother for the top step of the podium.
Another sibling combination with join the series in Kalgoorlie, with Narrogins Paul and Coby Stevens hitting the track after unfortunately missing the opening round of series. One thing is for sure, this formidable duo are not to be discounted on Saturday evening and certainly know how to move their Holden Commodores to the front of the field.
Jayke Malcolm, Allan Mortimer and Rick Musarra will again be in the field looking to gain all important series points and hopefully a round win, while there will be a number of drivers making their first WA Modified Sedan Series start for the season, including former Modified Sedan State Champions Brendan Selleck and Anthony King, in their immaculately presented machines.
Albanys Sean Theyer will be another driver who joins the series, as will Shane Dubberlin and Blake Jackson, all of whom are no strangers to Modified Sedan racing. Young gun, Sam McAuley will drive his VK Holden Commodore for the first time as part of the Civil Hirings WA Modified Sedan Series this weekend and will no doubt be looking to mix it with some of the states best Modified Sedan racers. The McAuley surname is no stranger to WA Modified Sedan racing, so it will be great to see the number 29 Commodore return to the track.
The racing all gets underway from 6.30pm on Saturday night at the Watsons Express Kalgoorlie International Speedway, with updates being posted by Jake Musarra on the WA Modified Sedan Facebook page.
