The 2023/2024 Stevens Ceilings WA Modified Sedan Series will get underway this Saturday at the Geraldton City Speedway for Round 2 of the series, following the cancellation of Round 1 that was scheduled for Pithara Speedway earlier this month.

A field of ten drivers will assemble at the Midwest venue this weekend with thanks to our round sponsor Greenfield Transport Services, with Luke Fraser entering as the early favourite having secured the 2022/2023 WA Modified Sedan Series title that he shared with Sam McAuley and a great history at Geraldton City Speedway where he has won on two occasions.

Jamie Higgs was a story of consistency last season and will hope to continue this into the new season, as he is joined by former West Australian Modified Sedan champions Shane Brittain, Steve Beres and Jayke Malcolm.

WA Modified Drivers Association President and round sponsor, Brenden Higgs will join the drivers in Geraldton with a desire to simply complete the evening, after a multitude of mechanical issues last season.

Paul Stevens, Kevin Ellement and Lindsay McAuley will all re-join the WA Modified Sedan Series this season, with each of them only competing in sporadic events in 2022/2023.

The final driver to take to the track this weekend is Ashley Baker, who will be driving the Peter Katona owned Ford Falcon at his home venue.

Baker is no stranger to the WA Modified Sedan Series having competed in it a couple of seasons ago and will look forward to getting the opportunity to join the series once more.

With thanks once again to our round sponsor, Greenfield Transport Services, all drivers will take part in three heat races, before the top six point scorers will take on the Field Mining Services Group Shootout to see who will secure pole position of the twenty-lap final.

Racing gets underway from 6pm, this Saturday at Geraldton City Speedway.
