This Saturday night, the final round of the 2022/2023 Batchelor Industries WA Modified Sedan Series will head to Pithara Speedway, two and a half hours north of Perth, with a handy field of drivers entered for the final hit out for the season.

Not only has a quality field of drivers entered for the event, which is proudly supported by Kim and Caroline Malcolm of KCM Transport, it will also see a new WA Modified Sedan Series champion with series points very tight at the top.

Luke Fraser and Sam McAuley have been the most consistent throughout the season and will look to continue this form on Saturday evening.

Fraser suffered mechanical woes a fortnight ago in Moora, so will hope to have rectified these issues.

For Branden Fraser, who returned to victory lane at the last round, he will be hoping to continue this form into the series finale on board his immaculately presented BA Ford Falcon.

Jamie Higgs found his way up towards the pointy end of the field last time out in Moora and will no doubt look to continue this form, as he his joined by brother Mitch Killeen for his first hit out in Modified Sedans, uncle Brenden Higgs and close friend Jarrad Fisher, who joins the series for the first time in the ex-Jason Higgs Ford Falcon.

Shane Brittain and Allan Mortimer showed speed at different times in Moora, though will have plenty of competition from series regulars Merv Penn and Adam Houston, who re-join the series for the final round of the season.

Kevin Ellement will also rejoin the series after horrid luck at the National Title at Easter.

This weekend’s racing won’t be all about the southern based drivers, with a number of drivers from north of Perth entering, including Shark Bay’s Michael Ricetti, Carnarvon based racers Kim Jolly and Glenn Harper, along with Brent Crookes from Broome, who will commence the journey back to the far north, having left his car in Perth since the National Title in Albany.

Gates open from 12 noon this Saturday at Pithara Speedway, with racing commencing from 6pm.

Be sure you come along to support the WA Modified Sedan racers, officials and sponsors, along with the Pithara Speedway.

A big thank you to Jason and Narelle Batchelor from Batchelor Industries, the naming rights sponsors for their support of the 2022/2023 WA Modified Sedan Series, Kim and Caroline Malcolm from KCM Transport for their support of the final round, as well as all sponsors of this years’ series.
