Round 5 of the VMPA Tritech Lubricants Series will be hosted by the coveted Blue Ribbon Raceway in Hamilton this Saturday night January 4.
With the season points battle starting to heat up, its really anyone’s race.
Mechanical dramas plagued Brock Atkins recently at the NSW State Title where he was only able to compete in the one heat race. Turning his hand to his brother, Todd’s car and finding some good speed in the rookie entry.
Todd Atkins steered his HA36 as quick as the best in the business, making a name for himself quite quickly in his rookie season.
Brock will be hoping to have the P4 all sorted, to defend his championship points lead heading into round 5.
Another championship favourite and top 3 points holder, Brody Chrystie, competed well at the NSW title also. The ever present AX32 has hardly stepped a foot off the podium so far and heads into round 5 with good pace.
After his fast as expected run at the Title also, the Travis Shore owned #MDA16 joins the field for the first time, piloted by none other than V8 Supercars pilot, Cameron Waters. A welcome addition to Round 5 of the championship.
The pair of number one’s, in Kye Walters and Daniel Simpson, Australia 1 and Victoria 1 respectively, hit it out for the 4th time together this season in VMPA.
It all goes down this Saturday night, January 4 at Horsham’s Blue Ribbon Raceway, running alongside AMCA Nationals, LTD Sportsman and V8 Trucks.
