The thirty sixth running of the Victorian Super Sedan Title will be held this Saturday night at the Rushworth Speedway with a quality field entered.
With the National Title now just two months away, every event from here onwards could be seen to provide some form or indication as to the outcome of the National Title at Moama.
Saturday nights field is headed by defending Champion, Dave Gartner from South Australia. Gartner finished second in the event, a record seven times, before breaking through last season, where he defeated Mick Nicola and Brad Wicks.
Nicola has been in great form this season, winning three times at Bairnsdale, Rosedale and Avalon. Nicola first podiumed in this event twenty years ago, with title wins in 2000 and 2001, and should he win on Saturday night, it would break a very long streak.
Five times Champion Lucas Roberts is also in the field, and he will be looking to equal the record set by Peter Logue with six wins.
Three times Champion Peter Nicola is also in the line-up having won those three titles in the space of the last five years.
The field also includes Matty Pascoe from Queensland, the winner of two National Titles, six State Titles and the winner of the Prestigious Super Sedan Grand Prix and Grand National twice each. His inclusion off the back of winning four Feature Races this season, will ensure a great night of racing.
Ryan Alexander who won his maiden Victorian State Title in 2016 is also in the field, along with the ever consistent Ash Bergmeier, Mick Nicola Jnr and Jamie Collins who is having a stand out season in the Victorian State Series.
