Press Release By Speedway Sedans Victoria, Image by Angryman Photography
You could not have engineered a better play list than the tunes that will be thumping out at Redline Raceway when 35 Modified Sedans fire up for the SSA Modified Sedan Victorian State Title this Saturday night.
Whatever your genre, there will be something to excite you and get you on your feet from the remixed Torana with Graham West controlling the beat to the rockin’ style of the VF Commodore of Shane Ardley or maybe you prefer the mellow sounds of the Jarod Waters Mercedes Benz which is best listened to on a quiet Saturday night with a Single Malt Whiskey in one hand and a Cuban in the other.
Please note we do not endorse the past time of drinking and driving at any time unless you are sharpening up your skills on your $15,000 simulator (should have bought a Modified, Chief!)
Newly crowned Tasmanian Champion Kye Walters will definitely be a home town favourite with this event being on his favourites list without a doubt. Kye will be singing out sweet tunes as he races alongside Rachel Pratt also now marching to the beat of the AU Falcon.
We also have a triple mash up from the Nelson band with Matt Nelson in the FGX Falcon, Shona Bent in the AU Falcon and Simon Bent in the Wayson Oils backed VS Commodore.
The Mildura roadshow of brother and sister Jake Drewett and Taleah Dolic can only be likened to maximum volume Acka Dacka, whilst Wade McCarthy and Martin Hawson strike me as Guns N Roses down to a T. Ty Galley is one out of the box and the album cover doesn’t match the music inside so we will liken him to Greenday of which we know he is a big fan.
Okay enough with the double entendres, can’t keep that up for long but fun while it lasted.
Maybe one more, can only think of duelling banjos for the Atkins brothers as they return from Van Diemans Land unfulfilled from their Tasmanian Title conquest. Brock Atkins in the FGX is highly likely to be a withdrawal but we can hope that is not so whilst younger brother Todd has a few late nights this week to repair damage to a driveshaft.
Interstate interest comes in the form of Matt Stevenson standing in for usual pilot Greg Stevenson from ACT. Jakobe Jetson from Hobart will also be campaigning his new FGX Falcon after a failure to launch last weekend for his home State Title.
Redline Raceway is a track that will bring out the best and also maybe create a few new legends as well.
One thing is for sure the Modified Sedans are going to rock the roof on Saturday night.
