TWO TITLES IN A WEEK FOR WICKS!

Brad Wicks has continued his astounding run of form, adding the SSA Modified Sedan New South Wales Title to his trophy cabinet just a week after he did the same for the Victorian Title.

Fresh off his victory at Warrnambool, Wicks headed to Leeton keen to improve on his second place in Dubbo two seasons ago and he did just that, going through the three heat races undefeated to start from pole position.

As the race went green Wicks was straight into the lead, while Jaiden Healey filled out second spot.

Australian Champion Nathan Macdonald, who finished second behind Wicks in the Victorian Title two weeks ago locked into third with Drew Harrison and West Australian Allan Mortimer the top five.

Mortimer got by Harrison on lap fourteen to move into fourth, with Healey’s race also coming to a premature end, elevating Macdonald and Mortimer into the podium positions.

Local driver Wayne Bourke, who had put the racing rubber on for the first time this weekend, then chased down and passed Mortimer for third, but further up front it made no difference, Wicks and Macdonald the only drivers to complete the race on the lead lap.
