The Tazz Auto Shots Tasmanian Super Sedan Series will make its return to the track this Saturday night with round five at the Gulf Western & Independent Oils Raceway which will double as the second running of the John West Memorial.
Steve Latham has taken three victories out of the four rounds of the series so far. Latham will head to Latrobe on Saturday night chasing his fourth win of the season, in a bid to extend his lead in the series standings.
Callum Harper is the only driver to take victory away from Latham so far this season which was last time out at Latrobe. Harper will be banking on more of the same as he plays his Joker Card for double points this weekend.
Wayne Dillon continues to be a measure of consistency, as the only driver to finish in the top five in all four rounds to date. Dillon has finished on the podium three times, but will chase his first victory of the season on Saturday in an order to bridge the gap to Latham at the top of the points standings.
Marcus Alexander led twenty eight laps of the feature last time out at Latrobe. Alexander will be hoping for more of the same on Saturday night, with the only difference being him ending up in victory lane on Saturday night.
Eight time Tasmanian Champion David Nichols will make his first start of the season, and will look to hit the ground running as he builds into his season.
Corey Jetson has been having a great debut season, but had a challenging night last time out at Carrick. Jetson will hope to bounce back on Saturday night with a strong showing at Latrobe.
Brad McMaster, Nathan Howells, Grant Hopkins, Josh Piscioneri, and Tim Johnson have all found themselves in the top five at various times throughout the season to date, and will be hoping to replicate that form on Saturday night at Latrobe.
Joe Breitkopf will make his first start of the season, as Tassie Six Tasmanian Champion Harley Croft will make his Super Sedan debut aboard a Dominator Chassis on Saturday night.
If you’re not able to make to Latrobe on Saturday night Clay Per View will be broadcasting an event in Tasmania for the first time that isn’t a National Title.
