Trent Quillerat has ended the recent dominance of Brad Herbert, by winning the Modified Sedan a Main on Saturday night at the Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway.
Quillerat and Jake Taurian would start on the front row for the 20 lap Feature event, with the duo running side by side through the opening lap prior to Taurian being pushed wide, which allowed the dominant Herbert and opportunity to move into second place.
Quillerat opened a gap on the field which amounted to naught, when Taurian was spun by Andy Russell and as a result, was sent to the rear of the field on lap seven.
Two laps later the final stoppage occurred when Taurian stopped as a consequence of a wire falling off the fuel pump.
Quillerat was untroubled in the remaining laps to take the win, ending the three race winning sequence of Brad Herbert, while Brad McKendrick finished third after starting from the fifth row.
Earlier, Nathan Russell, Jake Taurian and Andy Russell were successful in the three qualifying heats, with the third heat seeing a crash which ended the night for current Tasmanian Champion, Craig Williams, Keith Blair and Barry Youl.
