Press Release Courtesy of the Southern Sedan Showdown

On a night that gave a few drivers a chance to break away from the field in the Southern Sedan Showdown overall points.

It was only one driver who took his opportunity to.Michael Hamon dealt with a miss geared car all night and took control of the Street Stocks with a convincing win over local David Fall and Ben Norman.

A testing track tested everyone all night long, with two major stoppages over the night to help the track show its full potential.

Over in the Junior Sedans, Bunbury’s Jake Leaman took his first-ever feature win in dominating fashion, leading the entire distance from Jarrod Pearce and Mitch Binning.

Production Sedans have thrown a curve ball into their points battle, Aydan Trewern having a weekend he would like to forget, failing to finish a heat and the Feature with the car slowing on the track.

Kyle Sayer, who didn’t make the call on opening night due to being on a holiday will skyrocket up the leader board with a convincing victory over Jason Batchelor and Barry Rose.

The moment of the night was when Ron Belfield had a nasty roll on the front, landing on his roof.

The teams have a month until their third round at the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway on December 2 and 3.
