Four Time Western Australian Champion Jamie Oldfield & Newman’s Donny Davis are tied at the top after night one of the 2024 SSA Street Stock WA State Title presented by Iluka Resources which is being held at the Moora Speedway this weekend.
An eventful night one saw Oldfield, Davis and Mick Hamon all win two heat races with Carnarvon’s Jace Kempton third in the point standings after a consistent evening in the Novus Glass Holden Commodore.
Donny Davis who was celebrating his seventeenth birthday was outstanding in recording two victories in his entry from Newman.
The biggest incident of the night occurred in heat twelve when Derby’s Matt Lowe went upside heavily on the opening lap after riding over the side of another car.
Racing throughout the evening was hard and fast as the Street Stocks raced two and three wide around the Moora venue.
The final round of racing on the opening night was incident plagued with many cars looking second hand after the night’s proceedings.
Racing begins from 6pm for the night from Moora with every lap live at Clay Per View.
