The Speedway Sedans Australia, One Realty, National Junior Sedan Title will commence tomorrow at the Fraser Shores Maryborough Speedway, with 77 drivers set to compete from every State and Territory.
Sixteen year old Jackson Thomas is a third generation racer, but has had limited racing this season, after a huge rollover on 20 October 2018.
Thomas, from Gladstone, will be competing in a Hyundai Excel.
Unlike many others in the field, Thomas has raced at the
Maryborough venue in the past, but it was in the 2017/2018 season.
Since the rollover, Thomas has raced twice only at his local track in Rockhampton, spending most of the time, rebuilding the car.
I love the adrenaline and the friends and family you make along the way, he said. Having the opportunity to compete in a National title and to meet new people and make new friends and the journey along the way, is what I am looking forward to, he added.
