Tasmanian, Jake Taurian will be heading to the Speedway Sedans Australia, Octane Alley, National Modified Sedan Title, to be held at Blue Ribbon Raceway, Horsham, to be held on Saturday, 31 March 2018 and Sunday, 1 April 2018.

Taurian has been racing for ten seasons, commencing his racing career in Junior Sedans, with the past eight seasons in Modified Sedans.

The 2013 Tasmanian Champion has finished on the State podium three times, and will be making his first National Title on the mainland.

My ambition for the title is to make it into the A main. My season has been a pretty up and down since it is the first season in the XF Falcon and it has been a lot of trial and error in it. I have had some good qualifying and good car speed, but just have not had the results. I have always liked hooky tracks but I am starting to get my head around slick tracks in this car, Taurian said

No driver from Tasmania has ever won the National Modified Sedan Title, in fact, no driver has ever podiumed from the Apple Isle, something Taurian would like to change.

I think it could be a slight disadvantage coming from Tassie, as we only race the same dozen cars week in week out, so you can get a bit complacent with your driving styles. Hence why we are coming over to have a bit of a different challenge and race against different people and hopefully gain some more experience on a different track/surface, Taurian adds.

Taurian lists Aidan Raymont, Kye Walters and Brock Atkins as the drivers to beat in this years title.

Jake Taurian would like to thank the following people:
