The 2023 Tasmanian Super Sedan Title brought to you by Herb’s Pizza is all set for this Friday and Saturday night.
Twenty five drivers, representing five different states are set to do battle at Gulf Western and Independent Oils Raceway in Latrobe to become Tasmania’s number one Super Sedan driver.
Current National Champion Matty Pascoe from Ipswich in Queensland, won his first Tasmanian Title at Carrick last season, and will be looking to defend his crown at the track he won last seasons National Title.
Pascoe will have to contend with Tasmania’s Callum Harper who will be looking to win his sixth Tasmanian Title in eleven seasons.
Harper dominated last time out at Latrobe, and will be hoping to translate that form to another Tasmanian Title.
The field also includes three other former champions in Steve Latham, Mick Nicola, and David Nichols who has won the event a record eight times.
Queensland is well represented with Sean Black, Brad Pascoe, Steve Jordan and Michael Hally all vying to take the title back home to Queensland.
Moon’s Racing will have two cars in action representing New South Wales, with Tyson Moon and Lachlan Onley looking to win their first Tasmanian Title.
WA’s Lee Aylett is making the long trek back to his home town, and will be hoping to win his first state title, on his original home track.
Victoria’s Jamie Collins is making another trip to Tasmania where he has already won a Tasmanian AMCA Title.
Drivers will run two rounds of heats on Friday night to set the field for a prelim A Main.
Drivers will return on Saturday for a further round of heats to set the field for the forty lap main event.
