The thirty fifth running of the Tasmanian Modified Sedan Title, will take place this Saturday night at the Gulf Western and Independent Oils Raceway, Latrobe.

A field of thirteen have entered for the event, and despite not the biggest field for the season, it promises to be a great night of racing, considering more than half the field has won a Feature race this season.

Defending Champion, Brad Herbert will have his work cut out defending the title, with the last driver to do so being Andy Russell in 2012.

Russell has placed in the event seven times in the previous eleven titles, winning five of them , but he is not the only other in the field to have won the event.

Craig Williams has won the event seven times, the first in 1993 and the last in 2017, and has won two Feature races this season, albeit, both at the Carrick Speedway, and is always prominent in the big events.

The elephant in the room so to speak for the Tasmanian drivers, is the inclusion of Kye Walters from Victoria. Walters has been a standout performer in the Tri-Tech Lubricants Series on the mainland, amassing five victories across this season. Only five interstate drivers have ever won the title over the previous thirty four titles, four of them were Victorian, the last being three times National Champion, Mark Carlin.

Racing commences at 6.00pm EDST.
