The second round of the Brims Concrete Super Sedan Series will be held at the Rockhampton Speedway this Saturday night, with a good field entered for the Showground showdown, supported by B and J Car Sales.

The opening round at the Kingaroy Speedway saw some great heat racing, but unfortunately the A Main was washed out after just four laps. The six qualifying heats contested were won by six different drivers, highlighting already how close the competition is likely to be.

Leigh Williams won the opening heat race at Kingaroy, and amongst a handy field at Maryborough Williams would win the A Main last Saturday night. He will be joined by Matt Williams at Rockhampton, both of whom are local crowd favourites.

Sean Black, Matty Pascoe and Gavin Northfield all won heat races at the opening round of the series and are all entered for Saturday nights second round, ensuring a great night of racing.

Meanwhile Ian Brims headed south of the border to race at Sydneys Valvoline Raceway. Brims moved forward in the A Main, with a strong fourth placing, and has had good results at Rockhampton in the past and will be hard to beat on Saturday night.

Racing at Rockhampton commences at 5.00pm EST
