Nineteen drivers will contest round four of the Tazz Auto Shots Media Tasmanian Super Sedan Series this Saturday night at Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway.
Callum Harper enters the weekend off the back of his first victory of the weekend this past Saturday night at Latrobe.
Harper put his Bandit Chassis on pole position for the season opener at Carrick before mechanical gremlins struck him down before his race could get going.
Harper will look to make amends at Carrick on Saturday night.
Steve Latham has been in great form at the beginning of the season, picking up two victories including one at the season opener at Carrick earlier this month. Latham will chase his third victory of the season this weekend.
Rookie Corey Jetson has taken to Super Sedans like a duck to water, and has already netted two podium finishes in his debut season. Jetson heads to Carrick chasing his maiden victory this Saturday night.
Wayne Dillon has been a model of consistency so far this season, taking a 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed finishes in the three rounds to date. Dillon will hope to keep his strong form going and be back on the podium this weekend at Carrick.
Brad McMaster was on the podium in the opening round at Carrick, before a pair of challenging weekends in the last two rounds. McMaster will look to re-find his opening round form with a strong showing on Saturday night.
Marcus Alexander led all bar one lap on Saturday night at Latrobe and was deserving of far more than his untimely DNF. Alexander has tasted victory at Carrick before, and will hope to make up for the disappointment this past weekend with a win on Saturday night.
Eight time Tasmanian Champion David Nichols could make his first appearance of the season. Nichols has been waiting on his engine, and is a chance to be ready to go for round four of the TSSS.
Grant Hopkins has claimed heat wins in back to back weekends, but is yet to step on to the podium in feature race action. Hopkins will aim to buck that trend this weekend at Carrick.
Rookie Josh Piscioneri claimed his maiden heat race win at Latrobe on Saturday, and doubled down to claim the first top five feature finish of his Super Sedan career.
Piscioneri will be out to continue that form on Saturday night.
Nathan Howells is the only driver thus far to have played his Joker Card for double points, and it has him sitting third in the points standings. Howells will chase a strong result on Saturday night to maintain his spot in the top three of the standings.
Drivers will tackle two heat races each to set the field for the main event, with racing to get underway at 5pm.
