It has taken thirteen years to return, but the SSA Production Sedan WA Title finally makes a trip to the wheatbelt and the Narrogin Earthmoving and Concrete Narrogin Speedway Club for the 29th running of the BTM Mobile Hydraulics SSA Production Sedan WA Title this weekend.
The last and only time the WA Title for SSA Production Sedans was held in Narrogin was in 2013, where Matt Noakes defeated Victorian Stephen Laidlaw and Nathan Penn.
No one from that podium will be in attendance in 2026, but the podium from the 2025 rendition will be making the trip as Kyle Sayer looks to win his third WA crown.
Sayer, who claimed the win at Esperance, went on to win a classic from Jorj Park and Clint Noakes, who will all be in attendance.
From that WA Title in 2013, only six drivers will return to Narrogin thirteen years later.
That includes current WA Champion Sayer, along with former champions Barry Rose and Michael Hamon, and Kane McDiarmid, who all made the Main Event.
Collie’s Jamie Graham and Rickie Nuccini were also in the field thirteen years ago.
Speaking of former champions, there are plenty of them in the field, with 2007 Production Sedan WA Title holder Nuno Mendes also making the trip.
So too are 2015 Modified Sedan Champ Aydan Trewern and two-time Australian Junior Sedan Champion Kyle Spicer making a return to racing.
These drivers, though, won’t be the only ones to watch, with the likes of Murray Iwanow, Josh Fraser, Jacky Moroney, and Jake Blight just to name a few drivers with a great chance of taking home the win.
Narrogin Speedway is an excited host of the SSA Production Sedan WA Title, which last hosted an SSWA Title in 2020 for SSA Junior Sedans.
Action begins tomorrow night with Official Practice and Welcome Function. Three rounds of heat races will be held on Saturday, with one more round of heats and the State Final on Sunday.
