One of Northern Australia’s biggest annual race meetings for Speedway Sedans Australia classes, the Shinju Matsuri Festival Race Meeting held over two nights every year in September has once again attracted great fields.
Leading the entry list is a very healthy SSA Street Stock field which features five competitors from the Northern Territory including the newly crowned Territory Champion Justin Brumfield in his Frontier Cement Supplies Holden Commodore.
Defending Shinju Champion Damon Lyall from Carnarvon is the field along with Newman’s Lenny Bates, Derby’s Jake Hoath and a very strong line up from around the Kimberley region.
Karratha’s Jack McAuley returns to the Broome Speedway after being the victor in the SSA Production Sedan division last year at the Shinju Matsuri event, as he will take on local standout Jhye Kent who has recorded four feature race wins at his home track in 2021.
Twenty SSA Junior Sedans are set to do battle over the two nights along with small fields of SSA Modified Sedans & SSA Super Sedans.
Racing from 6pm this Friday & Saturday evenings.
