The annual Shinju Matsuri Festival Race Meeting will be held at the Broome Speedway this Friday and Saturday nights, with solid fields entered in all sedan classes.
Street Stocks feature a high calibre field of cars headed by former Northern Territory champion Justin Brumfield who will travel down from Darwin for the event.
Carnarvons Jace Kempton should be prominent and has won the last two rounds of the 2018 Speedway Sedan Digest Street Stock Gold Cup Series at Shark Bay and Pithara Speedways.
Current Western Australian Super Sedan Champion Warren Minshull will race a Street Stock over the weekend along with his son Zac who recently completed a successful Junior Sedan career.
Modified Sedans feature a small but quality field with the Broome Speedway hosting the Speedway Sedans WA Modified Sedan State Title next June.
Broomes Ray Clifton recently took out the 2017/2018 GWN7 WA Modified Sedan Series and is the defending champion of the Shinju event.
Locals Mick Johnson, Jeff Steele and Steve Lockhart will all challenge Clifton for victory along with visitors Blake Jackson and Sandy Macpherson.
Production Sedans and Junior Sedans are also on the program with racing getting underway from 5.30pm both nights.
