The annual Shinju Matsuri Festival Race Meeting concluded in fine fashion on Saturday Night at the Broome Speedway.
Carnarvon’s Damon Lyall conquered the McCorry Brown Earthmoving supported SSA Street Stock division with the twenty five lap main event having just seven finishers.Kununurra’s Russell Gunn and Broome’s Jim Dixon survived to claim podium results with many of the fancied runners failing to go the distance.
Jack McAuley lead home Mick Johnson and Liam Mackenzie in the SSA Production Sedans twenty lapper with Ray Clifton holding off Jeff Steele and Steve Lockhart in the SSA Modified Sedans Final.
Broome locals Riley Dunne and Cody Mackellar defeated the visiting drivers in the SSA Top Star Junior Sedans.
Competitors in the region will now turn their attention to the 2020 Donny Archer Memorial being held this Friday & Saturday Night at the Derby Speedway.
