Great fields of Speedway Sedans are set to light up the Broome Speedway in the far north of Western Australia this Friday & Saturday Night for the annual Shinju Matsuri Festival Race Meeting.
Very warm conditions and a bumper crowd are expected with many holiday makers set to enjoy two big nights of action for what is traditionally the biggest race meeting of the season in the Kimberley Region of the state.
Over twenty SSA Street Stocks from around the North West will battle it out for the $3500 prize pool on offer as the class enjoys a resurgence in that part of the state.
Decorated Victorian Lenny Bates who has recently relocated to the West is in the field along with Carnarvon’s Damon Lyall, Kununurra’s Russell Gunn and Brad Roberts who should all be contenders come the main event on Saturday Night.
A solid field of SSA Production Sedans are also on the card as Karratha’s Jack McAuley will relish taking on the locals Greg Mills, Liam Mackenzie and Jhye Kent on their home track.
Racing gets underway from 5.30pm both nights.
