The first meeting of the season for SSA Junior Sedans will be the School’s Out Showdown being held at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway on Friday 17 September.

Friday is day that school’s out for the spring holidays and given the timing is expected to attract a great field of Junior Sedans to night one of the Thunder on the Downs Sprintcar event that’s already attracting interest from drivers from right around the country.

The School’s Out Showdown will have an exciting format for the opening night.· Heat 1 – random draw· Heat 2 – invert of first heat· Semi Finals (odds & evens)· Feature Race – max 20 cars· Consolation Race

After the two heats, the field will be split into 2 (odds & evens) for effectively two mini features or Semi Finals.

Highest points will start off pole, but the top 10 in both semi finals will transfer through to the Feature race.

Odds (inside row), evens (outside row). For those that finish 11th back in each of the Semi Finals, they’ll contest the Consolation Race.

Juniors (Top & New stars) will race separately if there is enough nominations. All juniors that nominate before the closing time will receive a complimentary pit pass into the event on Friday night.

All juniors will also get the opportunity to attend the Sprintcar drivers briefing on Friday afternoon.

The School’s Out Showdown for Junior Sedans will only be held on Friday night and is not part of the SSA Allstar Series.

Nominations are now open and drivers can nominate directly to Ryan Harris via messenger or the Hi-Tec Oils Speedway Facebook page. Nominations close on Monday 13th September at 12pm.Nominate now.
