Kyle Sayer has tonight continued his sensational form, grabbing the win in the thirty-five lap Ampol Collie Production Sedan Collie Speedway Club Championships.

Sayer, who just last weekend successfully defended his SSA Production Sedan WA Title, led every circulation of the main event to defeat standout Mitchell Killeen, with veteran Nuno Mendes holding on for third.

Twenty-one drivers would show up across the two-night show, with eighteen taking the green flag in the feature race to determine the champion.

The first attempt at a start didn’t last long, with a three-car pileup involving Kelsey Beard, Wayne Leviston and Cody Blight, only Blight unable to restart.

Sayer made the most of his outside front row start to shoot past Killeen on the second start, racing nearly a second clear as the opening lap was completed while Killeen was forced to hold off Nuno Mendes and Clint Noakes.

With one lap complete the yellows came on for Damon Trouchet who lost a wheel in turn two.

Sayer was clear again on the restart, Killeen also able to put a gap back to third, with Mendes in a three-way battle with Noakes and Jake Blight, though it would only last two more laps until the yellows were back out for a spinning Trent Hoskins.

Again Sayer would set about building a gap, Killeen doing all he could to stay with him while the battle for third was now between four cars, Rickie Nuccini also joining the party.

With six complete the yellows came on for Kelsey Beard who came to a stop after crunching the back straight wall.

Killeen came under significant pressure from Mendes on the restart as Sayer again pulled clear, the order remaining unchanged for the next set of laps.

With ten complete Sayer was nearly two seconds ahead, while shortly after Jake Blight would get by Noakes for fourth. Sayer continued to extend his lead, over three seconds ahead with twenty to go.

Sayer’s lead was out to over four seconds with fifteen laps to go, while cars behind him were pulling infield at an alarming rate, just eight cars left when the yellows came out for a slowing Darren Blight with thirteen laps remaining.

Jake Blight would have a moment on the restart and allow Noakes back through for fourth while at the front it was status quo for Sayer, with Mendes still doing all he could to get by Killeen for second.

Blight would finally succumb to mechanical dramas with nine laps remaining, and with five laps left on the board Sayer was out to a two second lead over Killeen, with Mendes, Noakes, Nuccini, Jamie Graham and Eddie Holt rounding out the only running cars.

Holt retired infield leaving just six cars on track, but up front it made no difference, Sayer going on to record a dominant victory over Killeen while Mendes held on for third from Noakes, Nuccini and Graham.

The next meeting at the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway will be the 2026 ODH Mechanical SSA Street Stock WA Title, beginning on the 27th of February.
