Kyle Sayer has continued his domination of SSA Production Sedan racing in the South West of the Western Australia with a come from behind win in the 2021 Hills Smash Repairs Gold Cup on Saturday Night.

The SSA Production Sedans were the main support act for the 2020/2021 SSA Super Sedan WA State Title at the Make Smoking History Bunbury Speedway as some of the state’s best battled it out for the significant prize money on offer.

Collie’s Beau Riley and Katanning’s Jake Blight raced side by side for the first three quarters of the twenty lap decider and just as Blight seemed to have got the better of Riley a suspension failure to Blight’s Holden Commodore sent him infield within sight of the finish.

Barry Rose was also out on lap seventeen after running inside the top five for much of the race.

Beau Riley just had to last the final three laps to claim victory as Sayer tried every move in the book to find a way past the former Victorian Champion.

The winning move came on the final corner as Sayer went around the outside of Riley to win by 0.046 of a second with Anthony Page a distant third.

Damien Amato claimed his second feature race win in a week in the SSA Street Stocks with the two SSA Junior Sedan main events going the way of Izzac Delaporte (Top Stars) and Jesse James Samuels (New Stars).

The Make Smoking History Bunbury Speedway final race meeting for the 2020/2021 season will be held on Saturday 10th April 2021 as they play host to finale of the IVIX Industries South West Sedan Championship.
