Press Release Courtesy of Speedway Sedans Western Australia.
Last night at the Trade Hire Augusta Margaret River Speedway, Australian SSA Production Sedan Champion Kyle Sayer dominated proceedings, claiming all three of his heat races to start on pole for the final, then leading all twenty laps to take the win.
Kane McDiarmid and defending champion Nuno Mendes would win the other preliminaries, McDiarmid doing enough to qualifying alongside Sayer on the front row for the feature.
As the race began Sayer was quickly into the lead, building up a gap quickly while McDiarmid came under pressure from Mendes, while Rickie Nuccini sat further back in fourth.
Lap after lap Mendes looked to get by McDiarmid, but eventually would spin, seeing Nuccini get by him.
Mendes recovered and would eventually get back by Nuccini for third, but up front Sayer would claim the win by over half a lap from McDiarmid, with Mendes in third.
Also on the program, Matt Hammond defeated a good field to win the SSA Street Stock feature, while SSA Junior Sedan WA champion Jake Leaman and younger brother Travis Leaman would win the Top Star and New Start Junior Sedan feature races respectively.
