Five Time Tasmanian Champion Troy Russell has once again showed why he is one of the all time greats of SSA Street Stock racing on the Apple Isle with a classy victory in the Latrobe Speedway Sedan Drivers Association Ironman event on Saturday Night.
Over Forty SSA Street Stocks attend one of the premier events on the Tasmanian Speedway Calendar at the Gulf Western & Independent Oils Raceway as the class raced in honour of the late Rex Shepheard.
Russell held off fellow Ford Falcon driver in Corey Bauld by 0.538 of second at the end of the thirty laps with the first of Holden Commodores Ben Riley rounding out the top three.
The Ironman served as great entree to the upcoming 2020/2021 SSA Street Stock Tasmanian State Title to be held at the Gulf Western & Independent Oils Raceway over the Easter Weekend in just under a fortnight’s time.
