Sixteen drivers will contest round three of the Victorian Super Sedan Series this Saturday at Heartland Raceway in Moama.
Tyson Moon has swept the opening two rounds of the series at Wahgunyah and Avalon, and will look to make it a perfect three from three in Moama this Saturday night.
Jamie Collins has finished as the runner up in both rounds to date, and will hope to go one better to claim his first win of the season in Moama this weekend.
Brock Atkins in the second of the Moons Earthworks Sweet Chassis has recorded a third and a fifth in the two rounds so far, and will look to go to victory lane for the first time this season at Moama.
Mick Nicola Jnr found his footing late in the piece at Avalon, and will hope to carry that form into another victory at the track where he claimed the second of his two Victorian Titles.
The ‘Moama Mauler’ Lucas Roberts makes his return after missing Avalon through injury. Roberts will hope to put on a show at his home track and go to victory lane on Saturday night.
Ash Bergmeier was also missing at Avalon, but will be back on track this weekend in Moama. Bergmeier ran second to Callum Harper in the Victorian Title in 2019, and will look to translate that form into a win on Saturday night.
South Australian Dave Gartner will make his first Victorian Super Sedan Series start of the season this weekend. Gartner will hope to get his season off to a strong start and claim the win at Moama this weekend.
Also in the field for the first time this season, now residing in Queensland will be Todd Atkins. Atkins will campaign his brother Brock’s Insane Chassis, the same car that American Jesse Sobbing took to victory lane in the North South 50 last season.
Lionel West has taken a liking to his new Sweet Chassis which sees him sitting fourth in the series standings. West will look to continue his good form and move up the standings this weekend.
Dave Mackenzie had a challenging opening night at Wahgunyah, before rebounding for a strong finish at Avalon. Mackenzie will hope to keep the momentum going, and step on to the podium for the first time this season.
The drivers will contest three rounds of heats, with the top six advancing to a two lap pole shuffle to set the first six positions of the grid for the thirty lap main event.
