The Speedway Sedans Australia, Mental Racewear, National Street Stock Title is just two weeks away with 134 drivers set to compete in the second largest National Title in Australian Speedway history, at the B & S Earthworks, Timmis Speedway Mildura.
Competing in his fourth National Title, Stuey Robinson from Geelong will campaign an EL Ford Falcon over the two night, 48 heat extravaganza.
Robinson, started racing in 2008 in a State based class before moving to Street Stock in 2009 and has not looked back.
I have been fairly competitive this season, last meeting at Avalon Raceway I started 18th in the Feature and came second. I passed all but one that had mechanical failure, he said.
The twenty seven year old has competed at three National Titles leading up to this years event, at Mt Gambier (2013), Redline (2016) and Kingaroy (2017).
Robinson has twice competed in events at Mildura including finishing second in the prestigious Top Gun event.
Street stocks is a very elbows up class with normally high entry numbers, there is always someone new to race against and the quality of racing is insane, Robinson said.
I have always loved the right way for years, but in the last 2 years I am feeling more comfortabe going the traditional way, he added. I am really looking forward to some great racing, hopefully minimal damage, and catching up with some familiar faces.
I am expecting some very tough competition! I think the back of the B main would have me pretty chuffed with 134 cars entered, Robinson said. Robinson in 2016 made the B Main at Redline but a gear box issue ended his campaign. A year later at Gympie in 2017, Robinson was able to finish tenth in the Queensland State Title.
Robinson would like to thank his Sponsors
