Renmark’s Riverland Speedway in South Australia played host to their 2021/2022 season opener on Saturday Night, with Round Two of the SA Modified Sedan Series highlighting the program.

Veteran Bronte Perkins took home the fifteen lap main event and collected his second victory of the season after winning at Murray Bridge a fortnight ago.

Perkins found a way past Hayes late in the race after harassing the back bumper of the leader for most of the race forcing him into an error.

Paul Hayes finished just under two seconds behind Perkins at the end of the feature race with Murray Bridge driver Rob Uren making it an all Ford podium.

David Hartman in his XF Ford Falcon along with the Mitsubishi Magna of Nathan Thorne we’re both sidelined after the opening heat race with engine issues.

Carey Weston has started the new season in South Australia strongly as he claimed the twenty lap SSA Street Stock feature race on the night with Aaron Tranter successful in the SSA Junior Sedans.
