Aidan Raymont has claimed round 2 of the Steering & Suspension Warehouse Series in front of an excellent crowd at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway.
Raymont started from pole position but was rarely challenged throughout the 25 lap feature race that was simply brilliant to watch.
Although hot and dry conditions made track preparation difficult, the team in Toowoomba produced an outstanding track that produced a brilliant night of sedan racing with multiple lines all night long.
The race for second and third in the feature was simply awesome, with Brodie Boss and Rodney Pammenter running the cushion up against the fence for the duration of the feature race between some impressive ‘sprintcar style’ slide jobs.
Rodney Pammenter ended up finishing second ahead of Brodie Boss, Darran Lester and Josh Arthur. David Head started along way down the field to finish sixth in the feature ahead of Greg Worling, Darren Baldwin, Matt Nelson and Shane Macdonald.
The Modified Sedan feature race saw 23 drivers start the event that resulted in 21 cars finishing the distance with only one stoppage during the entire main event.
The racing from the Modified Sedans was simply brilliant.
Early in the night, heat wins went the way of Brodie Boss, Aidan Raymont, Rodney Pammenter, Darran Lester, Max Clarke and Josh Arthur.
Modified Sedans now have a break until the Summer of Speed kicks off at Carina on Boxing night for the Pro1 Race Parts Stampede.
Modified Sedans return to Toowoomba on 2 January for night 3 of the Summer of Speed that doubles as the New Year’s Cup.Thanks again to all the drivers for their ongoing support of Sedan racing in Toowoomba.
Huge thanks to Steering & Suspension Warehouse for making this series possible.
