Former National Modified Sedan Champion Aidan Raymont has continued his early season in dominance in South East Queensland by recording a third successive main event win at the Corbet’s Group Gympie Speedway on Saturday Night.
In what was Round Three of the SSQ South West Allstars Series for Modified Sedans, Raymont went through the night undefeated and would lead all thirty laps of the main event.
Raymont would be challenged by a variety of competitors throughout the finale, firstly Kingaroy’s Josh Harm who would retire on lap twenty one and also by Glenn Pagel with the two coming together late in the event.
Unfortunately for Pagel he would restart from the tail of the field for the spirit to the finish as former Queensland champion Tim Weir attempted to find a way past Raymont in the concluding stages.
Veteran Gary Pagel rounded out the podium ahead of former National Champions Max Clarke and Brett Baxter.
Aidan Raymont has now won the opening three rounds of the newly formed series for Modified Sedans, with the action continuing at the Lismore Speedway in Northern New South Wales on Saturday 19th November 2022.
