A big field of Production Sedans have entered for Saturday nights opening night, at the Quit Collie Speedway, with the feature being the traditional Curly Fishlock Memorial.
The opening night always throws up a few surprises, but Graeme Rafferty and Shannon Cherry performed well last Saturday night at the Quit Bunbury Speedway, with Cherry victorious in the A Main.
I am really pleased to start the new season off with a good result after the off season we had. (crashing on the way to Shark Bay), Cherry said. Dads been working all week changing the rack and general repairs so I can have a nice neat car, he added.
Cherry also admits Saturday night wont be easy with a much bigger field than last weekend. Apart for Graeme Rafferty who was very quick in Bunbury, Cherry will also have to content with Wayne Leviston and Kyle Sayer, along with Collie drivers Ricky Nuccini, Darren Johnson and Beau Riley to name but a few.
Racing commences at 6.00pm WST with events also scheduled for Junior Sedans and Street Stock.
