National SSA Super Sedan Champion Matt Pascoe leads the point score after night one of the 2020 Grand National event at the Solo Hobart Speedway, with the major talking point being three major crashes over the course of the evening.
Multiple National Champion Callum Harper had a heavy rollover in his opening heat race, with the T22 entry ruled out for the rest of the weekend.
Western Australian Gary Higgs also finished up on his lid in the Marri Park Tavern W81 Sweet Chassis with Tasmanian Adam Beechey having a heavy wreck in the opening Preliminary A Main.
South Australian Michael Miller was also caught up in the accident with Beechey, with Miller unlikely to contest night two.
Phil Barton from Broome in the far north of Western Australia claimed one of the preliminary A Mains with Pascoe taking out the final SSA Super Sedan race of the night.
A fifty lap main event awaits some of Australia’s best SSA Super Sedan pilots.
