With his sparing partner Anthony Beare out of the picture, Jamie Oldfield had a clear view ahead to take out the final round of the Novus Glass Street Stock Month of Madness at Moora Speedway, sealing the inaugural championship.
Oldfield was never headed all night long. Winning all three of his heat races and cruising to an easy victory in the Feature, downing his fellow heat race winners Hayden Norman and Paul Briggs who rounded out the podium.
Ben Norman was the biggest mover of the race, coming from ninth to finish fourth while Sean Bowan finished in fifth after Peter Herbert was relegated two positions at the end of the event after an earlier incident.
The elder of the Normans had an early chance to take the series title, but after the win in his first heat of the night, Oldfield would be able to seal the crown from Norman and Beare who despite not making the final show, was able to come home in third.
The 2021 rendition of the Month of Madness is already in the planning with four track already locked in for six nights of racing over 15 days.
