Clint Noakes is the only driver to be undefeated after the opening night of the three nights of racing, in the Ian Boettchers Race Parts, Kings Royal for Modified Sedans, at the Kingaroy Speedway, after fourteen qualifying heats were contested on Thursday night.
Noakes, the West Australian Champion, won both of his heat races, including one from the second back row, and also recorded the biggest winning margin of the night, when winning heat twelve by 5.171 seconds.
On an amazing night of racing, which had numerous close finishes, Shane MacDonald, Mark Raymont, Matty Smith, Wayne Gilroy and defending King, Greg Worling all have had a win and second placing each, to sit behind Noakes on the point-standings.
Racing continues on Friday night with a further twenty one qualifying heats to be contested.
