Three times Queensland Champion and former National Champion, Aidan Raymont is one of the ninety nine entries for this weekends, Speedway Sedans Australia, IBRP/AHI, National Modified Sedan Title at the Kingaroy Speedway.
From Cooroy on the Sunshine Coast, thirty three year old Raymont, is one of the favourites for this weekends event, which will see him drive his FG Rod Falcon.
Raymont has plenty of experience in big events and National Titles, with this to be his eleventh National Title, which as seen his podium four times, highlighted by his 2013 victory at Toowoomba.
I have a love/hate relationship with Kingaroy. It took me quite a while to work out how to win there in all my cars over the years, but eventually we have had some success, he said.
I am looking forward to the nationwide competition. I am a pretty competitive person and I love nothing more than going head to head with the best. I also look forward to catching up with everyone and spinning a few yarns over a beer or two, Raymont said.
National titles have taught me to try better myself. Every year I try to get better and to stay at the top of Modified Sedans, he added.
This has been definitely one of my better seasons. With winning two of the bigger shows, The Kings Royal and T-Bar Nationals, adding a State or National Title will make it a year to remember, that is for sure, Raymont continued.
I like racing with most people and there is easily 20-30 that are good enough to win. My goal is to win this years aussie title, but like always everything has to fall in place. You have to have luck fall your way, he said.
