Rick Musarra yesterday etched his name into the record books once again as he took the win in the SSA Modified Sedan feature for the 33rd Annual Far Western Championships at Shark Bay Speedway.
Having previously won the event in three different divisions, Musarra was back in his beloved SSA Modified Sedans today and keen to regain the crown after his last win in 2018.
Musarra would start from pole position courtesy of a win and two seconds in the heats, joined on the front row by Bunbury domiciled driver Adam Houston.
As the race went green, Musarra shot off into the distance while an epic three car battle would rage between Houston, Shane Dubberlin and Jarrod Rick for the next nine laps.
Unfortunately Dubberlin appeared to suffer mechanical dramas as the trio completed the ninth lap, seeing all three come together. Luckily only Dubberlin was unable to restart.
On the restart second placed Jarrod Rick threw everything but the kitchen sink at Musarra but was unable to make the move stick, seeing Musarra claim the win from Rick and Houston.
