The Moora Speedway Club will again host Round 1 of the 2021/2022 KCM Transport WA Modified Sedan Series this weekend, when fifteen Modified Sedans take to the track for the first time this season.

The event, which is supported by Paul Rumbold and his team at Moora Nissan will be headlined by two time and reigning WA Modified Sedan Champion Branden Fraser, who will be eager to start his series defence in the best possible style by picking up some early wins and series points.

Branden will again be joined by his brother Luke, who will debut a new paint scheme this season on his immaculate FGX Ford Falcon. Luke demonstrated last season what he is capable of achieving and pushed his brother right to the very end of the series.

Current West Australian Modified Sedan champion Jayke Malcolm will also be expected to be towards the pointy end as he kicks starts his 2021/2022 series campaign. WA Modified Sedan Series regulars Sam McAuley, Merv Penn and Anthony King are also back for another crack at the title this season, as are Brendan Selleck, Calon Ball and Shane Dubberlin who only competed in a handful of events last season.

Coby Stevens returns to the track this weekend after taking a year off for the birth of her second child and is a driver never to discount as she looks to put a challenge up to the guys along with Carnarvon’s Kathryn Harper. Michael Clark is another driver who will return to the series this weekend, having previously competed in the series a number of years ago.

Lee Watt, Jason Batchelor and Gaje Price will all make their WA Modified Sedan Series debuts this weekend in Moora with new machinery that they hope will see them challenging for heat and feature race wins.

Not only will drivers take part in three heat races each this weekend, we will also see the return of the ever popular Southern Stump and Mulching Services Top 6 Shootout before the twenty lap round decider.

Make sure you get along to the Moora Speedway this Saturday for the opening round of the KCM Transport WA Modified Sedan Series with racing kicking off from 6pm.
