The SSA Modified Sedans return to action this Friday night at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway for the grand final of the Toowoomba Steering & Suspension Smackdown Modified Sedan Series.
With a strong field of 28 cars nominated, the championship battle is set to go right down to the wire. Aidan Raymont leads the standings on 537 points, but holds just a five-point advantage over Shane Macdonald, ensuring every race will count in the fight for the series crown. National Champion Nathan Macdonald sits third on 519 points and remains within striking distance should the leaders slip up.
Friday night also serves as the final hit-out for many teams before they return to the venue over Easter to contest the ENZED SSA Modified Sedan National Title, making it an important night of racing and preparation.
The Modified Sedans opening heat race is set to get underway at approximately 6:00pm Friday night. With the Smackdown Series title on the line and plenty of drivers keen to build momentum ahead of the Nationals, fans can expect a big night of Modified Sedan action!
