Modified Sedan National Title Field Released

Speedway Sedans Australia have today released the nominations for the Speedway Sedans Australia, Octane Alley, National Modified Sedan Title to be held at the Blue Ribbon Raceway, Horsham, on Saturday, 31 March 2018 and Sunday 1 April 2018.

Fifty eight drivers have entered for the event, with entries received from every State apart from South Australia.

Defending Champion, Matty Smith from Queensland heads the line-up, which also includes former National Champions, Aidan Raymont, Greg Worling, David Smith, Andrew Blackwell, and Justin Drew. The field also includes current Australian Production Sedan Champion, Trevor Mills, former National Production Sedans Champions, Tim Atkin and Matt Noakes, former National Street Stock Champion, Robbie Faux and former National Junior Sedan Champions, Brock Atkins and Nick Cockerill.

The field is made up of 31 Victorians, 14 Queenslanders, 6 drivers from New South Wales, 4 drivers from Western Australia, 2 from Tasmania, while Paul Egan will be the lone representative from the ACT.

Of the drivers entered, a combined total of 33 Feature Races have been won amongst them, while more than a quarter of the field (fifteen of them) have tasted State Title success, in Modified Sedans.

Current State Champions, Aidan Raymont, who holds the South Australian and Victorian Titles and Brad Herbert from Tasmania, who holds the Tasmanian Title, are the only two current State Champions in the line-up. Last years top three on the podium are all entered.
